Hugh Murphy, M.Sc.

Biography

Hugh Murphy is a Doctoral student at the University of Klagenfurt. He is currently working on health-related topics (International Investigation of Parental Burnout and the RISE Parenting for Lifelong Health - Young Children program). Hugh completed his Master’s degree in Psychology and Mental Health at the University of Edinburgh. Before this, he studied Child Mental Health in University College Dublin (UCD) and, prior to this had studied Addiction Therapy in UCD. In addition, he worked for nine years as a project/support worker in the mental health and addiction sector in Ireland providing services along a continuum of care from harm reduction to rehabilitation and integration. During this time, he also worked as an addiction therapist both in a private and public capacity.
